Hi,

The Gold Line, Blue Line, and Green Line use Japanese built LRV's, and therefore have the same visibility. They all run outdoors, and either on the ground or above the ground, so lots of local scenery to be seen. Hopefully you find a clean window to look out of.

The Red Line is a true Subway, running below the street level, underground. Not much to see out of the windows while the train is running, but each station is unique. Each station was built to a theme and has been decorated etc. accordingly. As an example, the station at Hollywood and Vine, has a Cinema, or Movies, theme. The walls and ceilings are covered with reels of film. On the lobby level are old Movie Cameras. And it goes on. You are shown that you are in HOLLYWOOD. You have no idea how this affects the tourists. Additionally, since the entire Red Line is fairly new, the stations are still very clean.

Actually, the Gold Line has German-built Siemens P2000 LRV's from 1999 which are also used on the green line.

Here's a picture of one...
