I’m surprised no one else has posted this here, but VIA ran a Special 30 car OCEAN out of Halifax on Wed. Nov. 9th carrying Veterans to Ottawa for Remembrance Day Ceremonies on Parliament Hill this morning. At Montreal yesterday Veterans transferred to an expanded #33 with a P42 + 7 LRC cars for the run up to Ottawa.

On Saturday Veterans will return on #634 from Ottawa, transferring to the OCEAN in Central Station. The Saturday OCEAN eastbound out of Montreal is usually a new “Renaissance” consist but instead will operate with Budd equipment.

Here is a link to a Fan's site with a lot of pictures:

Four well-deserved thank-yous here:
1) To all the veterans who gave so much that we could remain free!!!
2) To the VIA Rail employees in Halifax who came up with this unique idea!
3) To VIA Rail for approving of the idea and making it happen!
4) To CPRTim for posting this first message, including the consist!
