Hi All
I have a question, I recently saw on Facebook, that the Conway Scenic brought a motor coach, a bus???? What are there plans for this vehicle, ??????? I can't see any use for this for the Railroad., Thank you Pat.

I think it's just a personal collection, it came from Seashore.

The #252 failure took over a year to finish, it was held off until a contractor came in. #7470 was out of service for all of 2021 and probably will be for 2022 again. At this point #501 has been held off for 30-40 years now with no update. The #501 sound-smoke thing was cool but randomly stopped happening after the full management replacement happened. Running #7470 up the notch one month after it's finished restoration wasn't wise. I hope that we can see #501 run someday. But it's unlikely.
Actually I saw a post on Instagram that 7470 was out on the turntable yesterday under steam. A sign of things to come perhaps? I chased the first steam notch trip and saw videos of the second trip. To me, 7470 performed better on the second run, it seems like.

Brian S. recently gave an interview with a local tv station and announced that they were working on getting steam running soon which is great news. Even more exciting imho, he announced a 3rd dome car (of NP heritage) will be joining the fleet any time now. https://youtu.be/xdk5lYFdQSU

The tender trucks came from a CN hopper car, perfect for temporary use on 7470 until enough money has been raised to refurbish the tender trucks

having a 3rd dome makes sense though, Conway has put the Dorathea Mae on their valley runs, and hopefully the 3rd dome will be used on the mountaineer runs.

Kind of surprised they haven't worked out an observation car yet for the Mountaineer. It would be great if they could find a matching stainless CB&Q tail car. Course...that might be the final nail in the Flying Yankee's hope for an operational restoration.

There are two wyes available to the railroad (Bartlett and Quebec Jct), both could be capable of turning the Yankee.
