Wasn't that SAL line chopped up as part of the SCL post merger initiative to "rid them of anything Seaboard"?

"Drove" through Thalman in the Googlemobile on GA32. Didn't note any tracks, but did note a "road" that could easily have been an abandoned SAL.

SCL continued to operate the "west route" (ACL) and "east route" (SAL) between Ogeechee (just of Savannah) and Callahan, FL. A few years after CSX took over the East Route was abandoned, except for short segments to serve industries south of SAV and to reach the St. Marys RR at Kingsland, GA. The East Route was shorter but would have required lots of work to restore 79 MPH maximum speeds.
