Correct. Yonkers to Oak Point Yard, run around and go directly to Fresh Pond. Each move is done as a straight shot with no "layover" at Oak Point.
Are there specific days when they come down? For a while it seemed like Wednesday was one.

Why are those low numbered M-9's finally being delivered ?

Were they sent back for some reason ?

Been a long time since this forum was active. Here's what's gone down since the last post. 9015-9016 back on the testing roster after sitting for a while at arch street. 9077-9078 was also recently spotted as a leader with the test trains. 9013-9014 still hasn't entered service and continues to work with the test train. At least up to 9116 seen on Railroad property. 9137-9138-9139-9140 all recently delivered along with another unknown pair last night. Cars that have entered service as of today (6/30/21) are the following: 9079-9080-9083-9084-9085-9086-9089-9090-9091-9092-9097-9098-9099-9100-9101-9102-9105-9106-9107-9108. Cars still testing in this range are 9081-9082-9087-9088-9093-9094-9095-9096-9103-9104. 26 cars waiting in Yonkers. 24 cars at Arch street under testing preparation and 16 cars testing currently. The last car, 9202 has begun shell fabrication at the Nebraska factory. So, yeah, quite the update for sure !

Highest number so far to be in service obviously skipping a bunch is 9123-24 on the east end of a 12 car train.

Passed Kawasaki today and saw the following cars:
9148,9152,9153,9154,9156 and newly arrived (no side stripes yet) 9178,9179,9180.

202 but LIRR has been trying to negotiate another 54 on top of that.

So then the M-9's will make up about 25% of the electric car fleet.

9117-9118 pressed into service as of 9/8/21. 9123-9124 has also been in service for a few months. 9110s and 9130s seem to be the common testing units on the tracks nowadays.

9113-9114 thrown into service last week. 9133-9134 thrown into service this morning on train #2401. Tests continue with other cars daily. Still waiting service entry of 9013-9014-9081-9082-9093-9094-9095-9096-9103-9104 in lower numbered cars. Anything 9109-up remains testing as they go into service pair by pair. 9171-9172 spotted at Kawasaki in Yonkers among five or so other pairs

Is there any news on...

1. The M9A order and who's making it?
2. The 20-or-so option diesel coaches as part of one of these orders?

...so far?

3. The Battery Powered M7 Conversion program, and if it will include the M9s?

It's been a while since we checked the numbers. Anyone have an update on the actual number of M-9 cars on the property and now-in-service?
