Non-Compatible? All the Cab Signal would do is drop to it's more restrictive aspect. Train Orders have nothing to do with this.

And all you have to do to make them compatible is retrofit 3rd rail shoes and CS equipment. Not that difficult at all. And anyway, PTC will begin to supplant such equipment, making such a crossover easier.

PTC is not a replacement for cab/atc the system used in east is ACSES it only supplements existing system.

Since they are here for Dual-Purpose shoes, is there a consideration of sharing M8 or M7 equipment between the fleets for "reasons of the future" going on? I'm guessing it would be easier to retrofit new shoes than to lay all new electric rail.

no sharing, cab signal is not compatible , and the pair has been returned to MN and taken to New Haven.

The pair was returned to MN few nights ago on an Arch St move.

no they were being tested for third rail contact.
