Are there any good restaurants near the port jervis station? I'm going on a railfanning trip tomorrow and have a 40 minute layover there.

Erie Hotel, Right on the main street, which is Jersey Ave/Front Street. It's next to the former train station, which is now a series of offices.

There's a Burger King right next to the station, and smaller options in town all within a few blocks.

40 Min isn't enough time for the Erie Hotel and its a good 5 minute or so walk from the train station.

Best bet is Burger King. Then you would still have some time to walk over to the turntable to look at the Erie E-8 and some other equipment parked nearby.

Those trains turn for themselves. If 43 is more than 45 minutes late into Port Jervis, bring popcorn.
