Unfortunately, as with the SL-IVs the Kawasakis are falling victim to age, regulations, and design changes. They date back to 1981 so it won't be too many more years before their repair curve bends up sharply. Newer low-floor and articulated designs are more rider-friendly as well as being ADA compliant.

Anyway, for what it's worth I'm in your corner re the SL-Vs. Their uninspired design combined with incessant "entertainment" from ranks of LCD displays makes me feel I'm riding the spawn of an affair between a subway car and an arcade game.
