This is almost double the regular round-trip fare ($33.38+GST) on the Northlander. Any idea why?

Presumably, since this is something of a speculative venture on the part of ONTC, it does not qualify for the subsidy (sorry, investment!) that the provincial government gives for the operation of the Northlander between North Bay and Cochrane (the federal government provides funds for the portion of the Northlander trip between North Bay and Toronto).
