The Hempstead Branch is currently being worked on for openBVE, and we have most of the track speed limits except for the section of track from MP 18.7 to MP 19.8 (from the 15 mph curve between Garden City and Country Life Press to Hempstead). Any insight into this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Track speed is 30mph. Not sure as to speed restriction into the station/yard at Hempstead.

Yard speed from the End of Block sign including all tracks east thereof in Hempstead yard/station are restricted speed not exceeding 10mph. West thereof its 30mph up to the curve west of CLP station, curve west of there is 15, Garden interlocking on a diverging move is 30mph, first curve west of Garden City is 40mph, second curve west of Stewart Manor is 60mph and third west is 45mph. MAS on the branch is 70mph.

Just where did you come up with that flat statement the line was 30 mph?

My old 1958 Employees Timetable (who knows where it is now) gave the MAS on the Hempstead Branch as 50 mph. Of course, the absolute MAS anywhere on the railroad in those days was 65 mph. Things has sure changed!

I specifically asked for the section of track between Hempstead and the 15 mph curve just west of MP 19. It's less than a mile of track, so the format of his response is valid.
