In case anyone hasn't heard yet, retired line car 1100 and its reel car left Michigan City Shops for the last time on the morning of Saturday, April 3, 2004. They had been donated to a group that owns several other South Shore cars and proposes to restore 1100. The line car and reel car are now stored at the ISG steel mill at Bailly.
