Yaw Dampers

Do the M7s have yaw dampers installed on them?

Some do. Look for what looks like (and basically IS) a giant shock absorber running more or less horizontally from the body to the truck. Not to be confused with the horizontal rod that actually couples the truck forces to the body. IIRC, the yaw damper goes from the end of the car to the truck..

I believe that this is one of the items added during the warranty work being performed by Bombardier.

The M7s coming in now from Plattsburgh already have them installed. Earlier M7s are having them added at Arch Street Shops.

Added again. The test sets had'em, they were removed on the production ones. I remember seeing a test set on the Babylon line and being rather amused at the amount of 'stuff' hooked to the truck. Must make replacement fun. Oh well...
