yes, those pics are Binghamton..
north edge of the NYSW Binghamton yard..the locos are on the northernmost
track that parallels Eldridge street..you can see the baseball stadium lights in the background.

On the NYSW yahoo group it was posted that NYSW 3010, the 4th tunnel motor is back in service and was used as a pusher on a northbound train out of binghamton.

it appears that 3010 was not the pusher and is still oos.

Any updates about the SD70Ms and the other stored power in Binghamton and Utica?

Anyone catch the GATX GP15-2 that's been in Ridgefield park? Possible new local power?

I caught it last month in Binghamton. It was around for about a week, and then it was gone.

For everyone not in the NYSW Yahoo group, a roster update was posted this morning. To sum it up...

The SD70m's and the SD45s are for sale
The GP20s will be scrapped if they are not sold.
SD60 3808 is apparently OOS with major problems
Among 3010, 3020, 3042, and 3636 2 are reportedly going to be converted to gensets and returned to the NYSW for service, with 3042 being the top prospect for this.

And on a seperate note GMTX 499 has been working in Northern NJ over the past week doing local trains with CSX 2732

Does anyone know what is going to happen to the GP20s now since it is past 2012 and they weren't sold or scrapped?

Who said there was a deadline to sell any of the locomotives? Assuming there was a deadline... If not sold, they'd be scrapped.. Right?

Will just assume they are stored either serviceable or unserviceable.........

Can anyone tell me why the railroad would sell off 3010 if its on experiencing 1 power assembly problem?
