Thought it might be interesting to bat this subject around -- how many serviceable Stillwells are still rolling along?

Start off with the Whitewater Valley RR in Connellsville, Indiana -- while their current website is still being rebuilt, the "Wayback Machine" (http://web.archive.org) offered this roster list from WVRR's 2003 website:

(Another gem in there is one of the ex-NYC Susquehanna coaches from the "bad old days" of the 1960's!)

All cars are painted red with gold striping and lettered for Whitewater Valley in gold unless noted. The WVRR number appears near doorways on the bottom of the cars, while the original owner and number appear at the middle of the car. Plans are to paint cars back to original owners' appearance in the future.

Apparently at that time the WVRR started to repaint the Stillwells back into their Erie appearance:

Anybody know of any others still serviceable?

We've got one currently under restoration at our museum in Rochester, NY... needs interior restoration after undergoing an exterior restoration.

A recent business trip afforded the opportunity to go see the Whitewater Valley's cars up close. Of course, a January weekday was not a likely time to find anybody onsite, so the images I was able to take were from the adjoining State Highway. I've posted a sampling of images on Flickr, which by the way, seems to be a handy place to post images:

2331 and 2471 were particularly impressive -- compliments to the Whitewater Valley folks for a nice job on the exterior renovations! Unfortunately, the circumstances and timing of my visit did not allow the chance to go on the cars.
