Well those of you here from the Yahoo! NYSW group i posted this there. But incase people here arent on that group im also posting my chase report here:

Well seeing as how beautiful today is me and my dad were going out to chase. Thanks to Louis for posting the Form D on the other Yahoo! NYSW group. The chase went well except we then lost it. We were thinking that it was switching at SJ? Does anyone know if it was?

Here in butler we caught it. To bad we didnt get it on the main street in Butler as at the time we were getting a drink and had to run out (we payed for our stuff) and we were able to hear and see those locomotives really pulling.

After seeing it in Butler we decided to pull off of 23 and go into Oak Ridge. I spotted a parking lot by the tracks where the grade would be higher then us. It produced a nice shot when the train blasted through.

We then beat the train to Victoria's in where i was able to get this shot. By this time the train had slowed down again.

For the final spot we were over the tracks on a bridge and i got a pretty nice shot although i would have liked to have taken the shot a split second sooner to have a bit better framing.

It was a very good chase although it had to end a bit early for my liking. But at least the weather was amazing. I hope you like the photos.

Great Shots, Jeff... I was committed to a wedding, so i couldn't go out, even though I live within spitting distance of Little Ferry!

BTW, nice River Line stuff, too!

I heard SU-99 getting their Form D in Warwick... but I was already at Bear Mountain and Iona Island... I figured by the time I made my way over there, it would have been too late. We did see nineteen trains on the River Line though... but dammit, I would have liked to have seen SU-99. Nice shots!

19 trains on the Riverline? How long were you there? I was able to catch some good action on the Riverline sunday morning. 6 trains from 8:30 till 11:15. It seems to be the Riverline is becoming a lot more busy. Im hopin for maybe another daylight SU99 next saturday. It would make it 3 saturdays in a row at that point! It seems to be business is good.
