They used to always use road power for all trains up here, no matter the amount of cars. The 60E’s are likely sidelined for some reason or another. It happens more often than you think

Man, now I’m thinking about what this train might’ve looked like 15 years ago when NS had a lot more variety in its road power than it does now. Seeing SD60s and GE power on NJT is cool and all, but think about back then when they had GP60s and stuff like that in North Jersey!

My local line, the Southern Secondary, was like that for a very long time as well. The difference was that Conrail would bring literally anything down here. C39-8s, B40-8s, B23-7s, SD40s, GP10s, and before that all the ex Lehigh Valley and Penn Central power they had still wearing the colors of their respective companies!!
