The Penn Div locos (2-6-6-2) were purchased starting in 1911, as per the article written at the time in American Engineer and Railroad Journal. The Mallets were being bumped to the lines west in the early 30's by both the coming of the more Mohawks on Penn Div and Berks on the B&A.

For a while, the 2-6-6-2s were used as pushers on the downhill run from Cherry Tree to Mahaffey at the far western end of the Pennsylvania Division.
