Mance Camp

I've heard of a spot along the CSX line through "Sandpatch" near Mance where railfans camp trackside. Where exactly is this? Can anyone provide photos?

Don't know if things have changed since then or not or if the original location is still good for camping (without the cabin). JS

As mentioned previously, the camp at Mance is off limits now. However, if you want trackside lodging on Sand Patch there is a railfan-oriented bed and breakfast (The Second Best Place) in Fairhope. I haven't stayed there myself, but from what I've heard it seems like a good place.
