Detours are being reported

LANDSLIDE BLOCKS NS MAINLINE: Norfolk Southern has experienced a landslide at Emsworth, PA, which is between Conway, PA and Pittsburgh, PA., blocking the mainline tracks. Traffic moving via this corridor, to and from locations east of Pittsburgh, will incur delay. Norfolk Southern personnel are on the scene working to clear the right of way as soon as possible and restore the line to service. Susquehanna Yahoo Groups reports that 0ne detour each direction is scheduled/planned to operate via Buffalo-Binghamton- Campbell Hall- Croxton, untilizing the Southern Tier Line to Binghamton and then between Binghamton and Croxon, via the NYSW(Central NY RR subsidary)to Campbell Hall and then the NYSW to Croxton. They may utilize the NJ Transit mainline from Port Jervis via Campbell hall and Suffern, NY, but this remains to be seen. Plans are tentative and of course, are subject to change....
