job info about being a conductor and engineer in Canada

Hi, im new here and have a few questions. There is a one year course at BCIT in Vancouver to become a conductor. What is the starting pay for conductors? How long does it take to become an engineer? How much do engineers make? Also what are the employment oppertunites like?
