Does anyone out there remember when the industrial track from the Beacon line to the East Fishkill IBM site on Rte. 52 was torn up? Thanks in advance.

The same year the HHRC bought the line, In 1993 I believe.
Before HRRC sold like to MNCR they salvaged rail from IBM spur and the old Hopewell Jct siding for use on their own railroad.

The IBM siding was removed in 1997; was taken up by a contractor and sent for scrap (reroll). It wasn't reused as rail, as it was t-rail, and actually didn't have as much value as conventional rail. IBM was in a big hurry to get the rail up as they had planned on using the ROW for a water pipeline that they never used anyway. I worked on the removal.
