Hybrid train in Japan

The Kyodo article must be talking about the first revenue run for the Hybrid EMU (that I reported to the group about two years ago). I'll do a little digging around the Japanese press to see what I can find after dinner.

I've checked all my sources, but none have anything on the hybrid as of yet, other than the link in the post above. It was in testing a couple years ago, so if it has, indeed, gone into regular service, the various newspapers will have a bit about it in the near future.

I'll post any info. that comes my way.
