I am looking for information on the cabooses acquired by the original auto-train Corporation. They were ex-FEC cabs, but I don't know what type of car was used to create them. I seem to recall that FEC started with 40' boxcars, but someone else I know thought they were retired 40' reefers. Also, when were these converted cabooses built? Did FEC do the conversion themselves? Thanks in advance.
