Here are pics I took this weekend of Delano, PA. Can you belive this is where the LVRR had a large coal hopper yard, engine house, beautiful victorian station, and a 2 track main?

Pic 1 - the LVRR crossing. The flashers are covered with plastic garbage bags. Are these the same bags on the lights since 1995 when I was here last?

Pic 2 - Looking east, we see the road xing. The station stood here by those big white rocks. Note the R&N tank cars stored on the tracks. Look in the background...see the white warehouse...that's where the engine house was! Notice how the green grass veeres to the right...that was the row of the lead trackage into the engine house!


Pic 3 - this is what's left of the 2 track main to Shenandoah. Abandoned by the LV in the mid-60s removed by CR in the '70s. Take a look at the penn pilot images from the 1930s to compare. Now this track just stub ends a few feet from here.
