What is the name of the yard next to Crozer Hospital and I-95 on the Philly Sub in Chester? What train services it/How frequent is it used? I ask this because I saw a single GP38 switching cars and I was wondering what the ID of it was. It was around 2PM on May 4th, 2010. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what the yard is called, but that is the B&O main line. I've passed it dozens of times going to and from Delaware.

Well its not really a yard, its just a customer that recieves alot of those covered hoppers. I will try to dig up my CSX track maps for the line and see if I can find out the customers name.

From my csx track chart from a few years ago, that spur is listed as TBS Terminals

That might be Total Distribution Services (TDS), a subsidiary of CSX which provides transloading services and bulk transloading in this case. I know it was a TDS terminal back before the Conrail split and at one time handled food products like flour, though now the traffic may have shifted to plastic pellets.

It is the BIDS Chester facility. BIDS means Bulk Intermodel Distribution Services. It is served by the same local that switches Smurfit-Stone Container in the industrial park off of the main track at Feltonville. This local also works the TDSI Twin Oaks facility, which is the auto depot along Conchester Highway. TDSI mean Total Distribution Services, Inc. The auto depot also has a second local that switches it. I do not know the CSX locals identifiers.

I seem to remember a runaway that happened there mid 1980s when a carman failed to chock a covered hopper while changing a brake shoe. :(
