Did not see the train at Paterson Ave. this morning at 5 am.

Lined and locked 5:12 PM

With 10 cars...1 tank, 9 Woodhavens, through Eatontown at 6:15 in the pm.

Does that mean the switch has been removed?

I would assume they removed the switch; and if my eyes weren't deceiving me, I thought I saw (from the Parkway at 75mph) that CR has also removed the switch from the old Standard Supply building on Pine Brook Rd, right at exit 105. I will have to check again, but it would make sense; that siding hadn't been used in 20 or 25 years I believe. Maybe they're going to use the hardware in Lakehurst?

In any event, last night's crew made the runaround move at Cross St., but then ran out of time, I guess. The train was parked on the main at Woodhaven overnight, and today's crew started the drill at 2:00 this afternoon. Lakewood didn't get much snow, but it was friggin' cold when the wind hit you; it's hard to shoot any eastbound move on the Southern, with the sun behind the train, but I don't get to witness a daytime drill there very often, so off I went.

Interesting to see a CSX GP40 that still has class lights, and that they actually sent two GP40s down there together. Nice

Saw a work truck at the main st crossing on (I think) the 30th. Noticed more rail joints had been sprayed.
within the next couple days saw lights down the track towards yellowbrook road. Not an engine; they were too low. More like truck headlights.

A couple days later going up railroad ave toward marl / preventorium it struck me something was missing; did not put it together till I read your post.
Yeah, I can be a little slow sometimes.

Two work trucks at the Cross street grade crossing in Lakewood today at 11:00 AM

Still not connected at the Lakehurst bridge as of 2-15-17. also seen a high rail dump truck south of Union ave., dropping off new ties too.
