I would assume they removed the switch; and if my eyes weren't deceiving me, I thought I saw (from the Parkway at 75mph) that CR has also removed the switch from the old Standard Supply building on Pine Brook Rd, right at exit 105. I will have to check again, but it would make sense; that siding hadn't been used in 20 or 25 years I believe. Maybe they're going to use the hardware in Lakehurst?
In any event, last night's crew made the runaround move at Cross St., but then ran out of time, I guess. The train was parked on the main at Woodhaven overnight, and today's crew started the drill at 2:00 this afternoon. Lakewood didn't get much snow, but it was friggin' cold when the wind hit you; it's hard to shoot any eastbound move on the Southern, with the sun behind the train, but I don't get to witness a daytime drill there very often, so off I went.
