Looks like CN's trying to clear out the dead lines! 137 different locos up for sale on the spring surplus list, including most if not all the remaining BCOL SD40's (can't say I'm surprised...).

Anyone got any recent pics of the deadline at WCT?

FWIW, I also heard that since CN has "Regained" NBEC after the Union-Busting spin-off, that the trashy inventory of ex-CP Alcos have ended up in Illinois for liquidation. Anybody hear anything about that??

Also notable on that list are EJ&E SD38 650, IC 6071, the former prototype, DM&IR 308, which was the last operating DM&IR SDM and WC 6006. It looks like a bunch of the engines on that list were also on the fall 2008 list, such as the SD50Fs and the DM&IR SD38s and SD40-3s. That makes me think they're having trouble selling this stuff off due to the economy.

I also notice IC 6071 is highlighted red, I have a few things I think that could mean, but does anyone know a exact reason?
