In your opinion what was the best looking ALCo diesel(s) ever built?

IMO the best looking are the low nose RS11s, RS36s and RSD15s. I just love the long nose with the notches on the corners, something about it just looks "right". Runners up would be the Century 420 and the classic RS3.

my favorite would be the C420 and the PA/FA.
all very stylish.
the high-hood RS11 is also very good looking.

I was never a big fan of the RS2/RS3 design..too bulbous.

M420W. Of course, I'm kind of biased since those were the only Alco-based units I ever saw in operation.

The old HH models, low hood RS3, high hood RSD12 and RS11 are my favorites.

The best looking Alcos is definitely found in Lakeville, New York.

The best of the best looking is certainly the LAL's Alco C424 # 424...

I don't know about BEST, but the C636 seems to me to be one of the Alco-iest looking ones: roofline like a Vermont farmhouse that has hada succession of shed/extension add-ons, each one of a different height
