I passed the old Reading RR stone train station at Belle Mead yesterday that is on the the CSX line to Trenton. It appears that all of the shubbery around the station has been removed in preparation for something. I remember going in that station in the 1980's when the old SEPTA line made a stop there and at that time it still looked like an early 1900's train station, complete with the old telegraph office pot belly stove and all.
Today that station looks like a runned down museum piece but I've heard rumors that it is in the process of being razed. Does anyone know what will become of this station? It is the station at the Rt 206 overpass in Belle Mead.
