On the same track were those bogies are intertwined with the weeds are some LIRR gondolas.

They look like they haven't turned their wheels in many years.

What's the story about them ?

Are they surplus until the railroad needs them or candidates for scrap or resale to other railroads ?

Thanks in advance

Believe everything on that siding is scrap material, the gons are outdated (air brake wise) and cannot be interchanged due to age.

Scrapped on-site next to the PSE&G property, or pulled west to Hicksville Yard to meet the torch ???

I'm pretty sure they'll be scrapped on site and loaded onto trucks since there is access right where the old industrial track went into PSE&G.
