I believe lvrr325 has "nailed" it. If there was no unusual reading at the Salem detector (nominally 20 miles west of East Palestine), I believe NS would have said so by now. R. Paul Carey. I don't know. It would seem to me that NS's position might be "the less said the better". ...

Yes of course brightline would not be interested. As for west of Schenectady, a dedicated passenger track would need to be installed for reliable fast service.
