757th Trans Bn (Rwy) in new location

The 757th Transportation Battalion (Railway) has moved from its old Army Reserve Center at 2372 South Logan Avenue in Milwaukee to a new location at 4850 West Silver Spring Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53218. The old site is reportedly for sale. With the inactivation of the much-smaller 1205th TROB in Sep 06, the 757th is the Army's last railway battalion.

I'm surprised I missed this discussion. Usually anything 757 jumps out at me. I have a friend that was in MILW recently, and he said the old reserve center was torn down, and the lot for the most part is empty. I think maybe the city planted grass or something. Before the Logan Av location, we were located at the Allis Chalmers plant (West Allis). At that location we had an actual railshop. In case anyone is familiar with the site, we were next door to the Siemens facility; that was back in 92-93.
