NEW YORK SOCIETY OF MODEL ENGINEERS - Oldest Model Railroad Club in America

85th Annual Exhibition - This spring's show will celebrate the New York Society of Model Engineers' 85th annual exhibition! The NYSME will open its doors to the public during the first three weekends of April. (April 1st-3rd, 8th-10th, & 15th-17th.) We are open Friday nights from 7-10pm and Saturday85 Years! and Sunday afternoons from 1-6pm. Our organization features over 5,000 feet of operating trains!!! Both HO and O scale railroads will be in full operation along with a N scale display in the lobby. Visitors are welcomed to visit our various educational displays, admire our collection of historic railroad tail signs, and purchase videos and books in our souvenir shop. Admission is $5 dollars for adults, and children are $1.

Conrail's 35th Anniversary Weekend - April 1st - 3rd 2011. In honor of the 35th anniversary of the creation of the Consolidated Rail Corporation, Conrail, the NYSME will be having a special Conrail themed weekend on our HO scale railroad. Our members will be bring in various models which will depict equipment used by Conrail from its creation in 1976 to its dissolution into CSX and Norfolk Southern in 1999. There will also be an educational display about the history of the railroad featured which will feature additional models and photographs in our front lobby.

We always do. But for some reason your system does not allow us to do so.
So we had to resort to other means.
Unless you can figure out why the event section does not allow any of our descriptions for our show to be posted.

It's not "my" system anymore (not since 2010, anyway), if you're using http://railroad.net/events/ then it usually takes a day or two for the event to be posted because a human actually reads it and approves it. Contact site admin Jeff Smith at [email protected] for more help since I'm not the site admin and I can't do anything about it. I'm just the moderator for this forum, trying to make sure events are posted in the events calendar for maximum exposure.
