I remember this one from regular appearances on the ABC Sunday night feature film during the summer of 1966. The offerings that year included the orignial screenplays of Tennessee Williams "The Glass Menagerie" and Rogers & Hammerstein's "Carousel"...pretty good stuff.
But Polaroid's instant cameras were in full flower at that time, and their ads used no dialogue...just classical music. In one, an elderly visitor departs by train.
The scene was later identified as Santa Fe's Pasadena station, and the power was a classic "Warbonnet" Alco PA, on single track and framed in one of ATSF's distcinctive cantilever signals, if I remember correctly.
It was around the time that one of Dave Morgan's classic two-page TRAINS offerings featured a short train in front of another well-kept Santa Fe facility with the simple admonition; "If you must get out, do it like this." Would that a few more operators had AT&SF's integrity.
