I was wondering? can Septa mix there silverliners toget her? For example mixing a Silverliner 1 and a silverliner 3 or any other combo! Do they do it? Does anyone have any pictures of it done? It would look neat to see a sl 1 with a sl 3!!

They no longer operate SL I's. Been a very long time. The current MU fleet are II's, III's, and IV's. They operate them together all the time but they do seem to try and keep the IV's by themselves but they still get mixed up.

One reason you don't see many mixed consists is only PCB-free cars are allowed in to the new Frazer yard. IIRC, the only Silverliners meeting that requirement are the Silverliner IVs that have been renumbered into the 400 series (the number denotes they are considered PCB-free). I don't think any of the II or III cars have had the complete treatment the 400-series cars have had. So if you're going to run a consist into Frazer, it's gotta be all Silverliner IV.
