Thanks MrBill. That's a good shot showing both platforms and the old canopy. I remember the canopy on the island platform, but the one next to the bridge ramp was torn down in the early 70's.
This picture also makes me wonder something. I'm sure someone here would know.
How did the Reading switch through passenger cars onto Lehigh Valley west bound passenger trains? Did the LV pull the train forward, toward Calypso Yard, and then the RDG cars were attached to the end of the train? That would appear to be the most likely way. Conversely, I can see for east bound LV trains, the RDG cars for Philadelphia would be at the end of the train, and thus removed and pushed onto the RDG side of the station for a Philly-bound train.
