I dont think I want to be hanging around your layout after dark!

The grand kids and I are free lance model railroaders. I grew up in Michigan and moved to Oregon 14 years ago. The name of the railroad is 'Michigan Northern Oregon RR'. The layout is in a room 10X12 with an extension in the closet. It is in the 50's with mostly steam engines. Here is the first photo, A load of empties arriving at the Matthew South yard, pulled by a 4-6-2. Tracks in the room were laid first and tested so that we could run the trains. The yard was the first of many stages.

Photographed on the NYSME in Carlstadt, NJ. I recently turned one of my Kato EL SD45's into a Conrail patch job. I still need to remove the foot boards. Enjoy!

I see in the first photo that the CR B23-7 and the GP38 are getting ready to head back to the HJ&J RR. Nothing like interchange.

Here is a "1930s" shot of EF-1 0105 on a local freight passing tower SS-71 at Devon,CT.

In one word, YES!

So, I've had this old HO scale HobbyTown of Boston RS-3 laying around that I built to (loosley) replicate the LV 211 that is part of the collection at the Rochester and Genesee Valley Railroad Museum in Rush, NY for a while when I saw an article in TRP about the 211. It turns out that after she was aquired by Conrail she ran in LV colors for a while as CR 5487. After this time she was rebuilt with an EMD prime mover out of an E-8 at the Dewitt Shops and painted CR Blue and became 9920 or 9930 (I forget which). Since I model early Conrail 5487 was a lock! Fastforward to last weekend and I get this great idea to introduce the two. After shooting, John Redden points out that "5487" is stamped into her frame in the front corner, NEAT!!!

I hated that article in TRP because they totally ignored the fact that we have preserved and operate that engine on a regular basis...
