Hey guys,

I was wondering if any of you know or have any photos that show the interior of the bi-level K cars and the single level cars? Particularly the chairs, aisles, and the control cab view?

If you use the shots for something, I suggest you give credit to the photographer and ask permission from him or her as the original shots are copyrighted by that person.

Thanks GP40MC 1116. Much appreciated!

Any shots of the insides of a K car? Like the stairwells or the platform level areas?

No, but buy a one way ticket from Back Bay to South Station and wait some morning for a train to show up. That should get you some shots

isn't the ride between Back Bay and S.S. free?

Slightly off topic (but info could be useful to my effort). Why does the MBTA charge for from Back Bay to South Station, but not the other way around? Why not just make both trips free, or charge for both trips, instead of one-and-the-other thing?

Because it is the T. Seriously, I think SS to Back Bay is free because of the loads that get on at SS it would be impossible to check all the passengers before reaching Back Bay, while you can spot the new people who get on at Back Bay headed towards South Station. Having done it both ways for a year, I can say I was never checked (this was back before Charlie and I did have Combo+ pass, so it didn't matter anyway).

You've got it the wrong way around. It's Back Bay to South Station that is free. There's a fare from South Station (they begin collecting tickets upon departure from South Station).

It dosn't really matter in reguards to this topic. The topic is interior pictures of the Commuter Rail coaches. If anyone wishes to argue about the fare between South Station and Back Bay, then take it up on the Charlie Forum  We started to get WAY off topic, so lets try not go and make it worse.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have cab shots of the 1500 and 1700 cab cars?

Yeah I do, I have MBB 1511 going to Greenbush, I'll email them to you and let you use them here, and I may also get some K car pictures of the 1700s. I frequently use MBCR Railways in addition to the Red Line
