CSX M367 sits disabled on Main 1 at Erie PA not yet up to CP-85 on account of a frozen horn on lead unit CSX 35. Train left Buffalo and was stopped at many places along the lakeshore for troubleshooting by crew and remote technicians. When the horn is thawed enough to work, train only gets 5-10 miles in between repair stops before it freezes again and train has to flag any crossings. Its snowing and windy, temps in single digits, wind chills -10. Other rail traffic has been going by it, but switches are frozen at least as far as CP-124 in Ashtabula. Rear unit is facing east, but the higher ups seem to be perplexed and at a loss as to what to do to solve this. A block truck was dispatched (from ?) but they probably can't do much then they arrive. CSX 2505 and CSX 4306 had been the power working the Erie-area locals, but no mention of whether either can be used for a new leader, at least as far as Collinwood. Conversations mentioned no place to turn the power within 80 miles to put the trailing unit on the point, either. Dispatcher just gave the train instructions to flag Walbrige and Downing and go up to Cascade St and stop there.

There was a post on Trainorders a couple days ago when a stack train between Toledo and Cinci got stranded on the Toledo Line, in between the switches at Wapakoneta OH siding and the crew had to backtrack to Deshler to turn their power on the wye there, putting their trailing unit on the point, causing a 5 hour delay.

Crew was just instructed to meet a taxi at Cascade St and go over to the yard in Erie and pick up the 4306.

Five minutes before midnight, CSX 4306 given permission past stop at CP89 to move One to One to couple with its train.
