Fair use quote
Investigators caught railroad worker Jacqueline Gardner, signal inspector Robert Kreuzer and his supervisor William Bagnasco away from their jobs on multiple occasions in 2018 while they were still collecting OT, according to an IG report.

Backshop,

If you read the article the discipline has already been doled out and it appears to be a closed case between the LIRR agreement employees and MTA counsel.

The NY post is not the times, the details are missing on the post story, or not added to the online"national" edition.

so... the LIRR busted people and then dealt with them internally?

i don't see the newsworthy part

The Post,Daily News, and Newsday, have "Crusades" against the MTA about "wasted money",to drive up their
readership numbers, tend to use a grain of salt on those stories due to details that get edited out and wind up in the waste can.
This happens in the online "national" editions they "throw" out ,NOT WORTH SLOGGING THRU ALL THAT BLOODY FORCED ADWARE.

Newsday- or Newswipe as I like to call it-is the worst. Second grade level writing from mindless idiots. NEVER have they mentioned how much LIRR overtime is MANDATORY. How much of it is due to their myriad of overextended capital programs. Piles of it due to shoddy track repairs or keeping their junk equipment rolling. Concrete ties crumbling after 4 years. Daily locomotive failures. Stupid decisions by unqualified managers. It’s endless.
