As far as I can go back in time this trestle has existed. Back to the 60’s at least. The vertical beams look in good shape but the other beams and ties are very rotted or not even there.

The location is basically on the SE quadrant of Transit Rd and Walden Ave. But today, with bushes and sunshine just right I actually spotted 2 rail cars (most likely abandoned) just short of the trestle. One closed hopper and an open gon. Never saw those before.

Thanks.....from the looks of the dirt it looks like the spur is still in use.....up to the trestle anyways.

Same car can be seen in the street view from 8/21. Looks like it was once a coal yard.

Nobody else noticed the steam locomotive near Bison Steel, just to the east of the trestle?
