Since these engines are becoming more of a rarity on regular freight trains, might as well have a tracker for sightings of these legendary engines.

Here is a recent catch: https://www.railpictures.net/photo/733034/

Since there around 30ish SD40-2s left on CP Rail, does anyone know if there is a certain tracker or roster of how many remaining CP Rail SD40-2s are remaining in service? I also heard that the CN Cowl units are stored/retired. Is there a roster/tracker with up to date information to confirm this?

Saw a recent post on Facebook, CP in Maine. Two SD40-2 on the old International of Maine. Nice photos, taken a couple of days ago. Looking good.

There are 32 active SD40-2s on the CP system, 10 SD40-3 locomotives, and 10 SD40-2F Cowl locomotives (ex- CMQ nee CP) the cowls are the survivors of a batch of 25 that CP bought new when they decided they didn't want SD60s.
