Over the weekend, the Silver Meteor out of NYC had the new Albany Diner car 68000 in its consist. It also had Sleeping Car 62004 pulling up the markers on the rear after the baggage car. Doesn't make sense. Why would that sleeping car be after the baggage car? Being towed to the shops for repairs? Equipment move?

A CSX switch crew recently moved private car GEORGIA 300 out of its home at the private car park in Orange Park FL. The car has not moved since before April 2018, when Amtrak dropped JAX from the list of stations where they are willing to switch PV’s on/off their trains.

I do not know the car’s destination. However, it is indeed an option for Joe Biden’s trip from Wilmington to Washington prior to his inauguration on January 20th.

It was reported elsewhere that GEORGIA 300 will be on the SUGAR EXPRESS Santa train on Saturday Dec 12, pulled by former FEC 148 in Florida..

Jeff:

For many years, HICKORY CREEK and NYC 43 were managed (rebuilt, maintained, crewed, operated, etc.) by Star Trak (Ray Clauss and Scott Clauss) for the URHS of NJ. They may have been on long term lease from URHS of NJ to Star Trak. However, it appears that relationship has soured, and URHS of NJ is now "on their own" with those two cars.

Rode it once back around 2014? on a Spring excursion NYP-ALB-NYP RT. Great trip, the worst thing was killing an hour in Albany. I do remember Star Trak.
