Saturday, October 19th saw two "Sunset Specials" out of Flemington, all the way to Bowne Station. My wife and I rode the 5:30pm train (final train of the day), with BRW (SW9) #438 on the point:

Our car for the journey was ex Central Railroad of New Jersey combine #297:

Sunlight quickly became scarce as we made the 45 min trek south to Bowne Station, the line's current terminus. Once there, passengers were given a 15 min break to disembark the train, stretch their legs and use the facilities. I barely had enough light to snap a picture of the end of the line, and the ongoing track rehabilitation work to get back into Lambertville. I was told by our conductor that 2021 is the railroad's target date for this goal.

We arrived back in Flemington around 7:30. Both my wife and I had a wonderful time riding the train, meeting the fellow passengers and talking with the friendly crew!
