20 is starting in Atlanta most weekdays due to the Annual Trackwork being performed by NS south of Atlanta. And the delays come from south of ATL.
NS delays are spreading north of ATL.
Yesterday's 20/10 left ATL on time and 1:18 late at WASH. However Crescent saved its regular amount of time Gastonia - Greensboro of 36 minutes. The restoration of the double main track between GAS - GRO is the only reason Crescent is not delayed more. 19/10 arrived 1:0 late ATL after leaving WASH on time. This time 19 did not gain time between GRO - GAS. There are unconfirmened reports that some of the problems came from PTC problems. Others have noted that the Crescents for whatever reasons are very seldom exceeding 60 MPH WASH <> ATL. Then when operating south of ATL delays just grow.
Todays 20 just 202 miles out of NOL at MEI is already 1:12 late forecasting Tuscaloosa 2:20 late 300 miles from NOL.
