Ok, cool, using http://www.imgbb.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to store and share photos, and working nicely. So, the Union Ave. grade crossing was open to vehicular traffic on Saturday, 3/31, and things are looking good.
Looking north at Union Ave, Route 70 overpass in the distance...
Looking south at Union Ave, more work to come...
New bridge timbers on the Conrail rebuilt bridge over the Manapaqua Creek, presumably for extension of the passing siding; this is directly under the Rt. 70 overpass...
And, yes, for you crazed TRIT fans, there has been accommodations made for possible future use...
Looking north towards Union Ave, this is the south switch of the passing siding/interchange track...
Looking north in Woodmansie, with the sand pit behind & to the right. The switch into the Clayton facility will probably be the last thing completed...
Looking north, the Rt.539 crossing is complete & looking good; radio repeater antenna attached to signal cabinet...
The rest of the NJSL line through Whiting and Pasadena looks good, although the last storm took down about 2 dozen trees across the tracks to be cleaned up.
It would be nice to see wheels rolling again in 2019 (thinking optimistically, of course)......
