Just got notice on Bayside Facebook page, woman killed walking on tracks at the station. Suicide? Thought with her family, and the Engineer.

Can’t tell if it was suicide, drugs or drinking or a psychotic individual. Not enough information has been released.

Bayside is a nice part of NYC. I’ve heard of several of these incidents in nice parts of NYC and Long Island before on Subway and LIRR. Suicide by train seems to be common over the years especially in a competitive area like NYC Metro unfortunately. Also some people have been pushed onto train tracks as well as mentally psychotic individuals walking on them or even drivers who are drunk or on drugs going into them.

Normal people want the MTA and LIRR to be in tip top shape. In an open environment, it seems impossible to end the death or injuries by train which will unfortunately continue to occur.

Other sources indicate it was a suicide. She was young. Said she was hit by a "work train". Photo showed older M3(?) train. Heart goes out to her family, and the Engineer, as well.

The incident train was a PTC test train. I highly doubt it was an M3, since they're not being equipped with PTC.

The train involved was indeed an M7.
