BR&W is proud to announce the return of excursion train service between Ringoes and Bowne Station! Thanks to generous donations from our supporters and the hard work of our volunteers, the 2.5 miles of railroad connecting Ringoes and Bowne Station are now officially open for passenger service! (For those of you keeping track, this brings us exactly 2.5 miles closer to bringing the train back to Lambertville!)
Check our website frequently, as we'll be adding several special trains and events over this "new" railroad, beginning with a special preview of our "Bowne Station Local" excursion, departing Ringoes at 1:00 PM this Sunday May 21!

In just a few years this section of railroad has come a long way - from being overgrown and almost forgotten, to an integral part of BR&W's plans for the future!

I was wondering what motive power would be used on the non-steam days. I'd like to see the PRR painted switcher.

I know they are running a mixed freight on the weekend of July 22-23, but I have previous plans for that weekend.

I took my son on the bowne station local a few weeks ago, they were using the Pennsylvania engine then, also passed last weekend and it was out. I wonder if 112 is being painted back to lv colors? Also I know 60 broke a while back and hasn't been out since. Last I hear gp9 1849 will be sent to ringoes for freight.

BR&W #400 (LV #112) is being leased for freight. Currently #1854,#1849,#1850, and #8142 are at K-M in Morrisville. I don't believe any of those are leaving. #1853, and #1858 are currently oos at Knoxville Locomotive Works, perhaps one of those are close to being repaired. Also to note #1259 was only sent to the BDRV to help with the Thomas event the next two weekends, so its also possible that it or #1202 will be returned to the BR&W after next weekend.

#400 is being leased by the BR&W from PRRLLC to cover freight on the BR&W. #400 is in Three Bridges. #400,#9206, and #438 are not owned by the BR&W. #400 and #9206 are owned by PRRLLC, and #438 is owned by the BRRHT.

I was on a bike ride a few weeks ago on Garboski Rd and saw a work train going down in the Bowne Station (Lambertville???) direction. Anything new to report on that end of the line?

Well hello there all, long-time lurker, first time poster.

We rode the Santa Train Sunday 12/3 with the kids, and I thought these came out looking good, considering my crappy phone camera. Enjoy!

Hello, DubyaBeeOne, and welcome.....nothing crappy about your photos; on the contrary, they're pretty nice for a phone shot.
Don't be a stranger, chime in when you can, and Happy Holidays to you & the family........
