While going to jersey today, went past CIY. . looing in . . i see a good number of rebirds. . .probly aout 12. Are these kept for MOW servicve or what?

Yes, most cases for MOW services. Also there are a few that are used for railfan trips.

Will they repaint them yellow or stay red, hope they keep them red for memory's sake. Does anyone know the car numbers that got saved for MOW service?

yes there are a number of redbirds in c.i. yard
there being painted with yellow end stripes
what there numbers are not sure
also did you notice there are ocassionally R62s there on the far side near the N tracks being serviced

There are some (10) R33 MLs there. Some R33 WFs are there as work units. One Corona R36 GE WF pair (9564-5) is on the scrap line there, awaiting final disposition.
