Going to be visiting Paradise Pa in a few months and i noticed a curvy rail line running thru it. Can anyone give me any info on the line?

I am from New England and would like to sneak in some rail fanning.

Thanks in advance!

How else would the 40th anniversary train be able to get to Strasberg

Strasburg runs a steam powered freight on Wednesdays and Friday to the NS
interchange at Paradise. They take up to 12 fans @$15 along for the ride in
the caboose. However, this is a hit or miss situation, as they do not run
unless NS has left some cars for them at the interchange. The decision to
run or not is not made until late afternoon the day before or later. Freight
business must be slow currenly, as they did not run last Friday, the past
Wednesday or yesterday.

Amtrak's Harrisburg Line definately goes through Paradise. In fact, it interchanges with the Strasburg Railway.

There's no Delaware Lackawanna Line that I know anywhere near Strasburg. The closest one that I know is in Northeastern PA, running from E. Stroudsburg to Scranton.

The DL&W/DL line goes through the Township of Paradise Pa. Westbound from Analomink the line climbs up Paradise creek
around Paradise Valley through Paradise crossing and around Paradise curve before reaching Pocono Summit.
